Welcome to first grade! My name is Jennie Bennett and my passion is teaching children! I grew up in Montgomery, Texas and my mother retired from 35 years of teaching there. She is an amazing teacher and inspiration to me. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Early Childhood Education. I then married my high school sweetheart, Clint, and began my teaching career in Leander ISD. I taught fourth grade my first year and them moved to teach what was soon to be my favorite...FIRST GRADE! We moved back to Aggieland in 2006 which was just in time for our daughter to start Kindergarten at Pebble Creek. We have two wonderful children. Kayla Rose will be a 10th grader at Consol and Luke will be an 8th grader at AMCMS. I feel very blessed to be a part of the Pebble Creek family. When I am not teaching or taxiing my kids to soccer, church and baseball, I enjoy reading, Pinterest crafts, Aggie football games, Bible study, decorating, and water skiing. I even enjoy a little fishing and hunting with my husband. I believe that first grade is one of the most important years of a child's life. The progress they make is incredible and it sets a firm foundation for learning! I am committed to having a fun, caring, safe and engaging classroom environment. I encourage team work and problem solving skills through integrated projects, inquiry, goal setting, and relevant questioning. I get very excited about learning and discovering new things and I hope to instill that in every child that walks through my door! It's a life-long journey!
